Always nice to get a little recognition.

The Palace Diner has a long history in  Biddeford. It is reportedly the oldest diner in Maine and was opened originally in 1927 by Louis Lachance. He had been laid off from his job as a fireman with the Boston & Maine Railroad, according to Randy Garbin’s book “Diners of New England.”
